Presentations on Short Stories

Dear Students,
Your presentations -which were graded!- on the analysis of Pop Music lyrics, were quite a good example of how your proficiency in the analysis and use of literary texts for educational purposes has greatly improved.
Now, let us try to do something similar with units 5 & 6 which deal with short stories. I will be presenting the first 4 stories in unit 5 (Our World: Man & Society) and "Kaleidoscope" (R Bradbury) in unit 6 (Other Worlds: Fantasy & ScF / The human mind) just before you begin presenting yours:
A Maizo: "For the life of Sheila Morgan" (D L McKiernan)
J More: "Fatal Woman" (J Carrol Oates)
V Castellanos: "The Mark on the wall" (V Woolf)

I kind of remember G Princivil selected one story but I can't tell which & R Veracierta was absent. In your case there are 6 stories you can choose from; please, tell us which you decided to pick.
I will soon post some tips that might help you organise your class better, hopefully.

First Test - Description.

Dear students,
We are having our first test on Friday morn. Then we will meet in the classroom rather than the lab. I am convinced you must be prepared for any means used in order to assess your performance in the course so far. Yet, here's a general description of what you will find on the question sheet on Friday. Remember we will be dealing with Poetry and Music (i.e., Lyrics).
Part 1.- Questions on the authors and works in the units we have gone through so far.
Part 2.- Analytical questions in which you must show how you handle terms/concepts and use them to come to conclusions.
Part 3.- Apply your knowledge in the area of poetry so as to analyse a poem.
And... that's it!!!
Just make sure you are there on time, bring your answer sheet and... be ready to make your best!
